Star Beverage is a Pennsylvania-licensed beer distributor and a permitted retailer of tobacco and nicotine products. The minimum legal age to buy beer, vapes, e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, or any other tobacco product from us is twenty-one (21). We verify age at the door, at the window, and at delivery — every order, every time.
1. 21+ Age Verification
Federal Tobacco 21 · PA Act 112 of 2020 · PA Liquor CodeOn December 20, 2019, the federal Tobacco 21 law raised the minimum age to purchase tobacco and nicotine products to 21 nationwide. Pennsylvania Act 112 of 2020 aligned state law with the federal rule. The minimum age to purchase beer or any other malt or brewed beverage in Pennsylvania is also 21.
How we verify:
- On the website — every visitor must confirm they are 21 or older on first entry. The age-gate confirmation is stored locally so you don't have to re-confirm every time, but the underlying 21+ requirement applies to every visit and every order.
- At the brew-thru window — staff request a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID from every customer who appears under thirty (we use the 30 Look standard). No ID, no sale.
- At scheduled pickup — photo ID is required at the counter before any age-restricted item is released.
- At delivery — our driver checks photo ID at the door for every order containing age-restricted items. The recipient must be 21+ and the name and date of birth on the ID must match. A signature may be required.
It is a violation of federal and Pennsylvania law to purchase, attempt to purchase, or receive tobacco, nicotine, or alcohol products on behalf of any person under the age of 21. Star Beverage will refuse and report attempted underage purchases.
